Responsibilities

• Oversee daily order processing, packing, dispatch, and fulfilment.
• Ensure on-time shipping and accurate order delivery.
• Coordinate with courier partners and shipping aggregators.
• Track shipments, exceptions, and customer delivery issues.
• Maintain documentation and operational records.
• Manage inventory across watches, straps, packaging, and components.

Coromandel Watch Co. is a growing Indian watch microbrand focused on designing and building thoughtfully crafted watches inspired by Indian culture, heritage, and stories.

As we scale, we are looking for an Operations Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day operations from our Palakkad office.

The Role

We are looking for a highly organised, hands-on Operations Manager who can manage and streamline our daily business operations across inventory, order fulfilment, logistics, vendors, customer service, and internal coordination.

This is a key role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and building efficient systems in a fast-growing company.

Key Responsibilities

Order & Fulfilment Operations

• Oversee daily order processing, packing, dispatch, and fulfilment.
• Ensure orders are shipped accurately and within promised timelines.
• Coordinate with courier partners and shipping aggregators.
• Track shipments, delivery exceptions, RTOs, and customer delivery issues.
• Maintain proper documentation and operational records.

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records across watches, straps, packaging, accessories, and other components.
• Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate inventory allocation during product launches and restocks.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment requirements.
• Coordinate with manufacturers, packaging suppliers, logistics partners, and other vendors.
• Follow up on production, deliveries, quality issues, and pending requirements.
• Maintain strong communication with vendors and ensure timelines are followed.
• Coordinate with the customer support team to resolve operational issues.
• Handle escalations related to shipping, replacements, servicing, and order fulfilment.
• Coordinate warranty/service requirements with the relevant teams.
• Ensure customers receive timely and accurate updates.

Process & Team Management

• Develop and improve SOPs for daily operations.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical solutions.
• Manage and coordinate the operations team.
• Ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain daily and weekly operational reports.

What We’re Looking For

• 2 to 5 years of experience in operations, e-commerce, retail, logistics, or a similar role.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
• Comfortable working with Excel/Google Sheets and e-commerce platforms.
• Experience with Shopify, shipping aggregators, or inventory management systems is an advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A hands-on attitude. This is not a purely desk-based management role.
• Experience managing a small team is preferred.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership.

If something goes wrong, we want someone who doesn’t simply report the problem, but figures out what happened, finds a solution, and makes sure it doesn’t happen again.

Location

This is a fully on-site position. Candidates should be based in Palakkad or be willing to relocate.

Compensation

₹25,000 to ₹40,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.
