Job summary

AIRTAXI, a growing aviation organization, seeks an experienced Operations Head to lead organization-wide operational functions from our Ghitorni, South Delhi base. You will shape strategies, drive efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance across Flight Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Quality, and Ground Operations.

The ideal candidate has an MBA in Operations from a premier institute and proven aviation operations leadership.

Qualifications

• MBA in Operations from an IIM or equivalent premier management institution (mandatory).
• Proven experience in Aviation Operations preferred.
• Experience in operations management and team leadership.
• Strong understanding of aviation operational processes and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple departments and operational functions simultaneously.
• Highly organized, results-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across AIRTAXI.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, processes, and SOPs.
• Coordinate with Flight Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Quality, Ground Operations, and other departments.
• Monitor operational performance, efficiency, and resource utilization.
• Ensure DGCA regulatory and company policy compliance.
• Lead and manage operational teams across bases and functions.
• Identify operational challenges and implement solutions.
• Monitor manpower, aircraft, facilities, equipment, and other resources.
• Prepare operational reports, MIS, and performance updates for senior management.
• Coordinate with senior leadership to support expansion and planning.
• Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, safety, and service quality.

Role Overview

The Operations Head will be responsible for overall operational management, including planning, coordination, team leadership, process improvement, and operational performance across the organization. The ideal candidate should have strong aviation industry experience combined with excellent operational and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Eligibility & Requirements

• MBA in Operations from an IIM / equivalent premier management institution – Mandatory
• Strong professional experience in Aviation Operations – Preferred
• Proven experience in operations management and team leadership
• Strong understanding of aviation operational processes and regulatory requirements
• Excellent strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple departments and operational functions simultaneously
