Job summary

Overflow Coffee in Lucknow is hiring an Operations Manager to lead a 15+ team, mentor staff, and keep the cafe running smoothly with dignity and teamwork. You'll handle daily HR tasks, audits, inventory, and customer experience, balancing business needs with staff well-being while driving continuous improvement across the cafe.

The role requires emotional intelligence, multi-department hospitality experience, discipline, and comfort using digital systems for scheduling and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to person for staff issues and daily support.

• Coordinate weekly training with department heads.
• Manage the weekly duty rota, balancing business needs with staff leave.
• Run daily audits on food safety and personal hygiene across the cafe.
• Oversee opening and closing checklists and deep cleaning sheets.
• Review monthly temperature logs and resolve operational obstacles.
• Verify digital purchase orders and audit invoices for quality and accuracy.
• Run weekly inventory audits and keep storage areas organized.
• Monitor daily wastage logs to keep production sustainable and efficient.
• Organise and analyse customer feedback so the floor team keeps improving.
• Maintain the customer database and ensure constructive feedback is acted on.

Your goal is to make the cafe run like a machine while the team feels heard, supported and valued. It’s a role for someone who leads by example and treats everyone — from the bakery to the cleaning staff — with equal dignity.

People, support and culture

• Be the go-to person for staff issues, questions and daily support
