Job summary

Collab Accounting, Ahmedabad, is launching a new US Accounting Division to service US clients. You will own setup and operations, lead team-building and delivery, and design processes bridging India delivery with the US CPA partner. The role aims to scale the division to 15+ members within six months.

The position requires strong English communication, hands-on bookkeeping experience, and a track record of scaling a division from scratch. Office-based in Ahmedabad with US time-zone overlap.

Qualifications

• CA qualified preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in bookkeeping (hands-on/supervisory).
• Experience in F&B/Retail accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive hiring, structure, and performance culture for the division.
• Own end-to-end US bookkeeping/accounting operations client onboarding to month-end/year-end close.
• Set up SOPs for reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll coordination, and financial statements in line with US GAAP.
• Establish QC checkpoints and TAT standards across client accounts.
• Drive automation using QuickBooks, Xero, Bill.com, or similar tools.
• Be the primary point of contact with the US-based CPA partner.
• Bring hands-on expertise in F&B and Retail industry bookkeeping (inventory accounting, POS integrations, multi-location reporting).
• Handle client escalations and present MIS/operational updates to leadership.

About Us:

Collab Accounting is a multi-geography accounting & audit practice across India, Australia, and the UK. We're launching a new US Accounting Division a captive delivery unit working closely with a US-based CPA to service US clients.

Role Summary:

Take full ownership of setting up and running our US Accounting Division. Lead team building, service delivery, process design, and act as the key link between our India delivery team and the US CPA partner. Scale the division to 15+ members (34 Team Leaders + Associates) within 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive hiring, structure, and performance culture for the division
• Own end-to-end US bookkeeping/accounting operations client onboarding to month-end/year-end close
