Job summary

Vikas Medical Devices is seeking an Operations Head — Logistics to lead end-to-end logistics across East India from the Howrah Warehouse. You will drive on-time fulfillment, lean inventory, and regulatory compliance with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001.

Senior role requiring 3–5 years in logistics/supply chain; MedTech experience preferred. MBA in Operations is a plus, with strong SAP/ERP and vendor-management capabilities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in logistics / supply chain; MedTech experience shall be preferred.
• B.E./B.Sc. in Engineering or Supply Chain; MBA in Operations preferred
• Strong SAP/ERP and inventory management proficiency

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with OEM principals for timely delivery of equipment, spare parts, and consumables
• Manage import documentation, customs clearance, and freight for international shipments
• Track purchase orders and proactively flag supply delays to sales and leadership
• Oversee the central warehouse and regional stocking points across WB, OD, BH, JH, and NE – India
• Maintain real-time inventory in SAP/ERP and conduct periodic stock audits and reconciliations
• Enforce safety stock norms, reorder levels, and ISO 13485-compliant storage and handling
• Plan and execute dispatches for tenders, hospitals, and projects, aligned with Service for installations
• Manage partners, transporters, and freight; ensure safe handling of high-value capital equipment
• Ensure dispatch documentation accuracy — challans, invoices, e-way bills, and PODs
• Define logistics SOPs and monitor KPIs — on-time delivery, refill rate, inventory accuracy, and freight cost
• Lead the warehouse and logistics team and manage vendor contracts and cost-reduction initiatives
• Ensuring GRNs and supporting documents within defined timelines
• Ensuring track and monitoring outstation courier deliveries to ensure timely receipt and proof of delivery
• End-to-end supply chain expertise — procurement, warehousing, and distribution
• Experience with medical devices or regulated capital equipment logistics
• Proficiency in SAP / ERP and inventory management systems
• Knowledge of import/export, customs, and freight management
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 for logistics and warehousing
• Strong vendor negotiation and multi-location team management skills
• Data-driven with strong KPI tracking and reporting ability

Role Overview

Notice Period - 15 Days Max

Owns end-to-end logistics operations for VMD across East India — from OEM inbound shipments to last-mile equipment delivery. Works closely with Sales, Service, and Finance to ensure on-time fulfilment, lean inventory, and full compliance with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards.
