Job summary

Alstom is seeking a fully-experienced Operation Manager, Record to Report in Bangalore to lead global R2R operations. You will steer end-to-end accounting processes across multiple geographies, drive reconciliations, and ensure quality SLAs while building a capable, globally connected team.

The role demands strong CA-level expertise, deep R2R knowledge, and hands-on experience with automation initiatives. A Six Sigma belt is desirable and English proficiency is mandatory.

Qualifications

• CA or CA Inter Graduate with strong accounting foundation.
• Proficiency in English (mandatory).
• Deep understanding of Record to Report process/accounting.
• Experience in balance sheet reconciliations and end-to-end balance sheet processes.
• Knowledge of Forex transactions including derivatives and reporting.
• Experience with Month-end/Period-end close processes.
• Six Sigma Green Belt is desirable.
• Experience with automations and RPAs.
• More than 12 years of accounting experience with at least 4+ years in people management.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive financial expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.

You’ll provide leadership and organization of Record to Report operations across all integrated geographies. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (R&B controllers, project controllers, site/finance controllers), manage the Record to Report Operations of the GFC, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of developing, integrating, and transferring processes and teams from different regions to the GFC, but also drive standardization of the Record to Report processes in the Shared Services.

• Understanding of Forex transactions including derivatives, Exchange Gain/Loss on Forex and Reporting
• Experience in driving Month-close/Period close processes
• A Green Belt in Six Sigma certification is desirable
• Intermediate skills in SAP and MS Excel, PowerPoint
• More than 12 years of experience in accounting with at least 4+ years in people management roles
• Experience with automations and RPAs
