Job summary

Alstom in Bengaluru seeks a full-time Record-to-Report Analyst to strengthen financial close processes. You will administer journal entries and the fixed asset lifecycle, and monitor month-end closing calendars for accuracy and timeliness.

You will collaborate with Project Controllers and Finance Controllers, perform reconciliations, ensure internal controls, and support audit governance across regions. Fluency in English and a continuous learning mindset are essential for success.

Qualifications

• CA with 2 years of relevant experience or CA Inter with over 8 years of relevant experience OR Commerce Graduate with relevant R2R experience of over 12 years.
• Experience or understanding of comprehensive accounting practices.
• Knowledge of ERP systems at a working level.
• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Adaptability and a continuous learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Administering journal entries and the fixed asset lifecycle.
• Preparing and monitoring month-end closing calendar.
• Performing manual journal postings incl. Lease Journals.
• Managing end-to-end fixed asset processes.
• Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and governance discussions.
• Supporting audit compliance across regions (Americas).

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive accounting expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.

You'll contribute to the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Project Controllers, Finance Controllers, R&B Team), ensure accurate financial reporting, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of administering journal entries and asset accounting, but also prepare and monitor the month-end closing calendar.

We'll look to you for:

• Administering the journal entry process and templates
• Preparing and performing manual journal postings, including Lease Journals
• Managing end to end of fixed asset process
• Preparing bank and Current reconciliation statements
• Managing full scope of Balance sheet reconciliaiton and drive the goverance discussions
• Manage and drive the Audit compliance effectively for Americas regions
• Conducting balance sheet and FI-CO reconciliations
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls and standard operating procedures
