Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) in Chennai seeks an experienced interior design engineer to lead the development of soft trims such as carpet, dash components, and package trays.

You will apply Catia V5/V6 and 3DX skills to create robust parts, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting concepts to leadership. Strong analytical ability and knowledge of soft materials are essential for success.

Qualifications

• At least 1-2 NPD projects completed.
• Experience with soft trims and interior components.
• Understanding of soft materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to present designs to cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop soft trims (carpet, dash inner/outer, and package trays).
• Create and modify 2D/3D drawings using Catia/3DX.
• Analyze packaging challenges and propose practical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to review concepts.

• Excellent Catia V5/V6 /3DX Skills
• Should have completed at least 1-2 NPD project
• Hands on experience in design and development of soft Trims- mainly -Carpet /Dash inner and outer , Package Tray , and so on.
  Strong analytical skills to resolve complex packaging issues within the vehicle interior.
• Ability to present design concepts and technical reports to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Understanding of soft materials and its manufacturing process.
• Excellent product and manufacturing knowledge.
• Good Communication skills
• Knowledge of GD&T & hands on experience on 2D/3D Drawings Creation required.
• Ability to work /handle parts / Team & interior commodity Independently.
• Able to interact, analyze and create parts as per design Rules & requirements.
• Good Team Player /Lead and flexible to work in any streams of work as per dynamic requirement that may change from time to time
• Should able to understand and willing to work under any challenging and tough environments
• Aid team improving the performance and efficiency of existing product design
