Job summary

Aforeserve is seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Administrator (L2) to join our Mumbai team. The role requires hands-on experience with Failover Clusters, Always On, transactional replication, link servers, hardening, and regular patching.

You will provision new servers and support day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of relevant SQL DB experience, works onsite in Mumbai, and can participate in 24x7 support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT with full-time study.
• Bachelors/equivalent degree in IT/CS as required.
• No education gap across SSC/HSC/ Degree/Diploma with year of passing mentioned.
• Relevant certifications preferred if any.

Responsibilities

• Monitor generated log and event files indicating errors that may cause incidents.
• DR database availability monitoring.
• Monitor database log replication and report status as per schedule.
• Manage log shipping, failure alerts, and periodic config reviews.
• Configure and maintain Always On and Failover Clusters; database patching and hardening.
• Plan and execute database migrations and performance tuning.
• Create and manage jobs/schedules for routine maintenance.
• Reinstall and reconfigure DB software as needed; ensure replication and link servers work.
• Provide incident response and drive corrective actions; update docs.

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in managing and supporting MS SQL Database including Failover Cluster, Always ON Setup and new server provisioning, Transaction replication, Link Servers, Hardening, and patching in day-to-day operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
