Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the maintenance strategy for plant machinery, refinery and solvent extraction equipment.
• Plan preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

• Implement condition-monitoring techniques to predict failures.

Key Activities

Maintenance Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement the overall maintenance strategy for plant machinery, oil refinery, and solvent extraction equipment in line with production goals.
• Plan preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Evaluate and upgrade maintenance systems and practices in line with industry best practices.

Oil Refinery & Solvent Extraction Equipment Maintenance

• Oversee maintenance of solvent extraction plant, expellers, refineries, deodorizers, bleachers, and associated utilities.
• Ensure safe and efficient handling of solvents and hazardous process areas in line with statutory norms.
• Coordinate with production to plan shutdowns, overhauls, and equipment upgrades with minimal production impact.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

• Implement condition-monitoring techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis) to predict failures.
• Track and improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).
• Maintain equipment history records and drive root cause analysis for recurring failures.

Spare Parts & Inventory Management

• Plan and manage critical spares inventory to avoid production disruption.
• Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of spares, consumables, and AMC contracts.
• Optimize inventory holding cost while ensuring equipment reliability.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and mentor a team of maintenance engineers, technicians, and shift supervisors.
• Build a performance-driven culture focused on safety, accountability, and reliability.
• Identify training needs and build technical capability within the maintenance team.

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (Factories Act, Boiler regulations, Pollution Control norms, Explosives license for solvent storage).
• Drive process safety management for solvent handling and hazardous operations.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Cost Management & Budgeting

• Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget.
• Track and control maintenance costs against targets.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising equipment reliability or safety.
