Job summary

Saipem is seeking an Offshore Structural Engineer with 5 to 15 years of experience in Offshore Engineering Design. The ideal candidate will perform structural analysis, provide inputs to modeling teams, and prepare detailed calculation reports. They should be conversant with SACS software and have hands-on experience with offshore platforms. A graduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required, with a preference for post-graduates in related fields. The role includes interaction with other disciplines and a thorough understanding of structural materials.

Qualifications

Graduate in Civil Engg / Structural Engg desired, Post Graduate in Structural Engg / Offshore Structure is preferable.

Experience

5 to 15 years with Experience in Offshore Engineering Design.

Technical Skills

• Conversant with SACS software for analysis / design of offshore structures.
• Hands‑on experience in performing Inplace / Inservice and Preservice analysis of Fixed offshore platform Jacket & topsides / FPSO Topside Modules.
• Also Experience in Fatigue, Seismic, on bottom stability, Floatation & Upending for Jackets / platforms.
• Experience in using FEM softwares – ANSYS / ABACUS.

Responsibilities

The offshore Structural Engineer shall perform structural analysis of Offshore Structures and provide inputs to structural modelers / drafting team, check 3D Model & Drawings covering Engineering aspects using NAVIS works, prepare calculation reports/ MTO / BOQ / BOM, Provide Inputs for Weight Control report, Interact with other Disciplines for design development and shall be familiar with Structural Material Grades / fabrication aspects / detailing aspects.
