Job summary

Saipem is seeking an experienced Offshore Structural Engineer in India to perform structural analyses of offshore structures, including jackets and topsides. The role requires deep familiarity with SACS, FEM tools, and NAVISworks, and entails coordination with draughting and other disciplines for design development.

The ideal candidate has 12–25 years of experience in offshore structures, with a strong background in layout, stability, fatigue and seismic considerations, and ability to prepare

• 12-25 years of experience in offshore structural engineering
• Proficient in SACS for analysis and design of offshore structures
• Experience with NAVISworks and 3D model/drawings checks

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis of offshore structures and provide inputs to structural modelers/drafting team.
• Check 3D model & drawings covering engineering aspects.
• Prepare calculation reports, MTO/BOQ/BOM.
• Provide inputs for Weight Control report and interact with other disciplines for design development.

Job description

Qualification: Graduate in Civil Engg / Structural Engg desired, Post Graduate in Structural Engg / Offshore Structure is preferable.

Experience: 12 - 25 years

Required Skills/Experience

• Conversant with SACS software for analysis / design of offshore structures. Hands on experience in performing Inplace / Inservice and Preservice analysis of Fixed offshore platform Jacket & topsides / FPSO Topside Modules.
• Also Experience in Fatigue, Seismic, on bottom stability, Floatation & Upending for Jackets / platforms will be an added advantage.
• Experience in using FEM softwares – ANSYS / ABACUS would be an added advantage.
• The offshore Structural Engineer shall perform structural analysis of Offshore Structures and provide inputs to structural modelers / drafting team, check 3D Model & Drawings covering Engineering aspects using NAVIS works , prepare calculation reports/ MTO / BOQ / BOM, Provide Inputs for Weight Control report, Interact with other Disciplines for design development and shall be familiar with Structural Material Grades / fabrication aspects / detailing aspects.
