Job summary

Legrand Slovenija is seeking a molded tooling maintenance engineer to ensure mold availability, reliability, and tooling life. You will manage preventive maintenance, handle breakdowns, and coordinate with internal and external teams to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include tracking mold life, planning refurbishments, and ensuring ISO-compliant records. You will support production trials and implement improvements for continuity and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a similar role in plastic injection molding.
• Strong knowledge of mold systems (cores, cavities, sliders, lifters, hydraulics).
• Ability to read 2D mold drawings and assembly drawings.
• Familiar with grinding, milling, drilling, and EDM in toolroom.
• Knowledge of ISO systems, maintenance standards, and safety requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and RCA skills.
• Good communication and coordination with internal/external teams.
• Independent work style with good time management.
• Willing to support emergency/off-shift work to ensure production continuity.
• Proactive with continuous improvement and toolroom standards.

• Develop contingency plans for critical molds to maintain production during major breakdowns.

To ensure maximum availability, reliability, and performance of plastic injection moulds by effectively managing preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, spare parts planning, mould life monitoring, and technical improvements. The role will provide dedicated toolroom support for critical projects and ensure timely resolution of mould-related issues to minimize production downtime and improve tooling life.
