Job summary

Amara Raja Group is seeking an Assistant / Deputy Engineer - Tool Room to drive the manufacturing of new injection moulds and ensure high-precision assembly and trials. You will operate core tool room machinery and use precision gauges to ensure quality, while coordinating with design, production and quality teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with milling, lathe, EDM, and related equipment, along with strict adherence to safety and 5S practices for smooth downtime-free production.

Qualifications

• Assists in manufacturing of new injection moulds per drawings and specs.
• Operates tool room machines with precision measurement tools.
• Maintains moulds and records of maintenance and trials.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture new injection moulds as per engineering drawings and specifications.
• Assemble, fit, and trial mould components for proper functionality.
• Repair, modify, and maintain existing moulds to minimize downtime.
• Operate milling, lathe, surface grinder, drilling, and EDM machines.
• Perform precision fitting, polishing, grinding, and bench work.
• Inspect mould components using Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators.
• Troubleshoot mould-related problems and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, and Quality teams during mould trials and validation.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and ensure moulds are available for production.
• Maintain records and documentation related to mould maintenance, repairs, modifications, and trials.
• Ensure proper handling and maintenance of tools, machines, and equipment.
• Follow Safety, 5S, quality standards, and company policies.

• Manufacture new injection moulds as per engineering drawings and specifications.
