Job summary

Tenneco is seeking an SCM Executive in Tijara, Rajasthan to drive procurement for new projects from requirement through production launch. You will review BOMs, project timelines and lead times to create precise procurement plans and coordinate with Engineering for part development and trials.

You will release purchase orders, monitor supplier performance for on-time material readiness, manage long-lead items, and provide stakeholders with regular procurement updates while optimizing inventory,

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, operations, logistics or related field.
• Experience in SCM, procurement, material planning, import/export or logistics.
• Experience with new project procurement and supplier coordination.
• Understanding of import shipment and customs clearance; SAP/ERP and advanced Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Master Degree or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Operations, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in SCM, procurement, material planning, import/export, or logistics, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Experience in new project procurement and supplier coordination.
• Understanding of import shipment and customs clearance processes.
• Knowledge of purchase orders, scheduling, material planning, inventory management, and logistics.
• Working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems preferred.
• Knowledge of Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
• Good communication, supplier follow-up, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and critical project requirements.
• Strong ownership with a focus on on-time material availability and zero production disruption.
• Ability to work effectively with suppliers, logistics partners, CHA/customs brokers, and cross-functional internal teams.
