Job summary

Avantor in India is seeking an Officer - Quality Control to perform QC activities and ensure compliance with GMP/ISO guidelines. You will document results and maintain analytical records, while training staff and supporting ISO implementations.

The role requires a chemistry degree with 1–3 years of QC experience in a pharmaceutical setting, including cGMP knowledge and regulatory audits. Expect hands-on analysis using HPLC, GC, and wet chemistry.

Qualifications

• Education in Chemistry (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) is required.
• 1–3 years of quality control experience in pharma/cGMP environments.
• Familiarity with ISO audits and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control activities and prepare timely reports.
• Fill and update all quality documents and records.
• Monitor calibration, standard preparation, and log sheets per GMP/ISO.
• Train and supervise operators; participate in emergency response when needed.

Job description

The Opportunity:

Officer - Quality Control is responsible for performing Quality Control activities at AQAL.

What we are looking for:

• Give timely reports to SAP for result recording.
• Education: B. Sc. / M. Sc. (Chemistry)
• Experience: 1 - 3 years of experience in Quality including cGMP, ISO and regulatory Audits
• Knowledge of Quality Control in Fine Chemicals and pharmaceutical company. Experience of cGMP
• Fill and update all documents.
• Zero accidents in the Quality operations.
• Achieving batch wise timelines, quantity and quality.
• Will train & supervise the working of all operators working in his dept. Will monitor the waste generated during operation.
• Will be member of the Emergency response team and will guide & train other team members in case of Emergency.
• Maintain ISO 9001:2015, SAP, and other Quality system into department. Will maintain the analytical records / log sheets as per GMP & ISO guidelines
• Skills - Willingness to learn, Team Player & Good communication skills

• Responsible for Timely analysis of under test samples giving timely results
• Coordination with tollar for quality related issues and clarification
• Sampling and analysis for RM/Intermediate/Finished Goods.
• Ensure compliance with ATR.
• Assisting team in ISO implementation
• Knowledge of calibration, standard preparation, standardization and relevant documentation.
• Handling knowledge of HPLC, GC and wet analysis
