Job summary

Balmer Lawrie And Co Kolkata is seeking a Logistics Officer to coordinate dispatch plans with production and sales teams, arrange transport and follow up with SCM and transporters. The role involves supervising loading, ensuring safe storage, and maintaining documentation and SAP actions to expedite deliveries.

You will also manage dispatch data, packaging returns, and help resolve delivery issues while coordinating with customers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Post-qualification experience in Supply Chain & Logistics (2 years).
• Full-time graduate in any discipline.
• ERP environment experience and/or dispatch team handling preferred.
• Specialisation in Supply Chain Management / Logistics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate periodic sales and dispatch plans with production and sales teams.
• Arrange timely transport and follow up with SCM and transporters; maintain transporter reports.
• Supervise finished goods inspection, ensure safe storage and housekeeping as per specs.
• Oversee loading by contractors; ensure schedules and safety procedures.
• Verify delivery documentation and process SAP actions with required authorization.
• Maintain dispatch data, vehicle movement records, and coordinate with customers and transporters.
• Support resolution of delivery issues and contractor payment matters.
• Coordinate return of packaging materials and ensure safety and operational compliance.

• 3. Supervise finished goods inspection, ensure safe storage, and maintain housekeeping as per product specifications an d weather conditions.
• 4. Oversee loading operations carried out by contractors, ensuring adherence to schedules and safety procedures.
• 5. Verify delivery documentation and process SAP actions with required authorization.
• 6. Maintain dispatch data, vehicle movement records, and coordinate with customers and transporters for delivery status
• 7. Support resolution of customer delivery issues and contractor payment matters.
• 8. Coordinate return of packaging materials and ensure compliance with all safety and operational guidelines.

Experience - 2 years of post qualification experience in Suply Chain & Logistics

Education - Full Time Graduate (Any Discipline)

Preferred Experience - Candidates with Experience in sales or Despatch in an ERP environment and/or handling Despatch team may be preferred

Preferred Qualification - Specialisation in Supply Chain Management / Logistics
