Job summary

Avaada Group is seeking an experienced EHS professional to implement and monitor the site EHS management system at our solar/wind project in Rajasthan. You will drive safety training, audits, and digital tools adoption, ensuring 100% induction coverage and timely reporting.

You will coordinate mock drills, incident investigations, and contractor safety supervision, while maintaining training records, safety KPIs, and compliance with statutory requirements on site.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in EHS/construction safety, preferably in renewable energy, power, EPC or infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on field experience in construction safety and contractor supervision.
• Willingness to be based at site and travel within the project location.
• Working knowledge of EHS statutory requirements applicable to construction/renewable energy projects.
• Strong understanding of HIRA, JSA, PTW, LOTO, incident investigation and emergency response procedures.
• Excellent training delivery for inductions and toolbox talks for large workforces.
• Ability to plan, execute and document mock drills as per emergency protocols.
• Disciplined in report writing, data accuracy and timeliness.

Job description

ROLE

• Implement, monitor and drive the EHS management system at the assigned solar/wind project site.
• Achieve 100% EHS training coverage of all manpower and ensure completion of scheduled mock drills.
• Deliver field‑level safety compliance, training, digital EHS tool adoption, and disciplined reporting.
• Ensure 100% EHS induction training for all new workmen, staff, and contractor manpower before site deployment.
• Maintain a training matrix/tracker with photographic evidence, attendance records and competency verification; close training gaps.
• Prepare and implement the site mock drill calendar covering all identified emergency scenarios.
• Ensure 100% completion of scheduled mock drills with full participation; document learnings and close gaps.
• Coordinate with local emergency services and maintain emergency contact directories and mutual‑aid arrangements.
• Prepare and submit daily EHS reports covering manpower, activities, observations, PPE compliance, incidents/near misses, weather, permits.
• Prepare and submit weekly, fortnightly, and monthly EHS reports and management presentations summarizing training status, inspection findings, non‑conformities, corrective actions, KPI trends, audit closure, and improvement plans.
• Maintain accuracy, consistency and timeliness of all reporting; ensure zero delay in submission.
• Drive implementation and daily usage of digital EHS platforms/apps for incident reporting, inspections, permit‑to‑work, training records and dashboard generation.
• Train site personnel and contractor supervisors on digital EHS tools; ensure real‑time accurate data entry.
• Support regional/corporate EHS in rollout, troubleshooting and adoption of new digital tools and system upgrades.
• Implement site‑specific EHS plans, SOPs, HIRA, JSA, Permit‑to‑Work system and Legal Register requirements.
• Conduct daily field inspections/patrols covering work at height, electrical safety, lifting operations, excavation, hot work, housekeeping and PPE compliance; issue stop‑work instructions as needed.
• Verify contractor EHS compliance including mobilization clearance, competency of operators/riggers, equipment fitness certificates and PPE adequacy.
• Support incident/near‑miss investigation, root cause analysis and CAPA tracking to closure.
• Coordinate internal/external EHS audits and inspections; ensure timely closure of observations.

REQUIREMENTS
