Job summary

Ascension is seeking a front desk/administrative professional for the St. Vincent Medical Group in Carmel, IN, to greet patients, verify demographics, and manage scheduling and insurance authorizations. You will handle charges, deposits, and provide general office support in a multi-location setting.

Strong customer service experience and basic medical office knowledge are essential, with a schedule Monday–Friday and travel between three locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or 1 year of applicable experience is required.
• Medical and Front Office Experience with strong customer service skills is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, check patients in/out, and collect necessary documentation.
• Verify and enter demographic information.
• Obtain and verify insurance authorizations/precertification.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments and complete medical record release requests.
• Enter, review and submit charges for procedures and services daily.
• Collect co-payments and reconcile daily reports and deposits.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

Education

What minimum requirements you’ll need

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
• Medical and Front Office Experience along with strong customer service skill
