Job summary

Ascension in Carmel, IN is hiring a Night Full-time Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the Intermediate Care Bariatrics department. You will implement and monitor care plans, coordinate multidisciplinary care and ensure orders are carried out, with emphasis on discharge planning.

Minimum requirements include BLS within 30 days and Indiana RN licensure; education requires a nursing diploma from an accredited program.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire; AHA or ARC accepted.
• Registered Nurse credential from Indiana Board of Nursing before hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per policies and protocols; monitor and communicate patient condition.
• Coordinate care as primary multidisciplinary team lead.
• Notes and executes physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning with healthcare team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
