Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited seeks a Graduate Engineer in Electrical Engineering with HV GIS O&M experience for on-site work at 220kV/400kV substations. You will lead a team of engineers and skilled technicians for preventive and breakdown maintenance, and testing of GIS and switchyard equipment, with emphasis on relay protection and SCADA integration.

The role requires strong EHS awareness, customer-centricity, and analytical skills, with preference for candidates from the electrical utility

Qualifications

• HV GIS substations experience (220kV/400kV) and O&M required.
• Testing of switchyard and GIS equipment; protection schemes knowledge (numerical with SCADA).
• Experience in site training for power transmission products is a plus.
• Emphasis on environment, health, safety per Siemens standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site HV transmission O&M and preventive maintenance at GIS substations.
• Lead a team of engineers and skilled technicians at site.
• Ensure customer-centric approach with strong analytical skills.
• Coordinate testing and breakdown maintenance activities when needed.

Job description

The Candidate should have 5 to 10 years of experience in in High Voltage Power Transmission Operation and Maintenance of High Voltage Gas insulated substations in 220kV and 400kV.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Graduate Engineer in Electrical Engineering with 5-7 years’ experience or Diploma in Electrical Engineer with 7- 10 years in High Voltage Power Transmission Operation and Maintenance of High Voltage Gas insulated substations in 220kV and 400kV
• Expert knowledge on Testing of Switchyard & GIS equipment’s and Relay Protection system/scheme understanding (Numerical with SCADA).
• Empowerment and Technical Training to site employees for Power Transmission products (Extra High Voltage Power Trafo, Isolators, LA, and GIS)
• Environment, health, and safety awareness as per Siemens and customer's standards and protocols.
• Experience in electrical utility area will add advantage
• On site Periodic Preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, breakdown maintenance testing of substations
• A good team leader who can lead a team of Engineers and Skilled Technical persons at site.
• Customer centric approach and Good Analytical skills

We provide EPC for high and extra high voltage projects pertinent to AIS/GIS, Flexible Alternating Current Transmission System (FACTS) devices and High Voltage Direct Current Voltage Source Converter (HVDC VSC) technology. Further, we offer an extensive range of services for the complete lifecycle of the High Voltage /Extra High Voltage asset and projects including bay extension, substation modernisation, product retrofitting and overhauling, emergency services, breakdown services, Long Term Service Agreements (LTSAs), maintenance contracts, O&M contracts and spares.
