Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited seeks an experienced HV Transmission Engineer to lead maintenance and testing of GIS and switchyard equipment at customer sites.

You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinate with vendors, and perform fault analysis using disturbance records and waveform data. Strong leadership and customer-facing skills are required.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in High Voltage Power Transmission Operation and Maintenance of HV GIS substations (220kV/400kV).
• Expert knowledge on testing GIS and switchyard equipment and relay protection schemes.
• Experience in offline/online condition monitoring and SCADA integration.
• Preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of substations and numerical relays.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and skilled technicians at site.
• Coordinate with customers, contracts and onsite vendors.
• Perform periodic preventive and breakdown testing of substations.
• Troubleshoot relay maloperations and analyze disturbance records.

A Snapshot of Your Day

The Candidate should have 4 to 7 years of experience in in High Voltage Power Transmission Operation and Maintenance of High Voltage Gas insulated substations in 220kV and 400kV.

How Youll Make an Impact

• Graduate Engineer in Electrical Engineering with 4-6 years’ experience or Diploma in Electrical Engineer with 5- 7 years in High Voltage Power Transmission Operation and Maintenance of High Voltage Gas insulated substations in 220kV and 400kV.
• Expert knowledge on Testing of Switchyard & GIS equipment’s and Relay Protection system/scheme understanding (Numerical with SCADA).
• Experience in offline and online condition monitoring of switchyard equipment and protection systems, including integration with SCADA systems(Aided advantage)
• Preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of substation equipment and numerical relays.
• Troubleshooting of relay maloperations, fault analysis using disturbance records, event logs, and waveform analysis.
• Empowerment and Technical Training to site employees for Power Transmission products (Extra High Voltage Power Trafo, Isolators, LA, and GIS)
• Environment, health, and safety awareness as per Siemens Energy and customers standards and protocols.
• Experience in electrical utility area will add advantages
• Customer coordination, Contract & onsite vendors Management, complete site Management
• On site Periodic Preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, breakdown maintenance testing of substations
• A good team leader who can lead a team of Engineers and Skilled Technical persons at site.
• Customer centric approach and Good Analytical skills
