Job summary

Alten Group in India seeks a CAD designer focused on exterior vehicle components. You will model bumper fascia, bumper grille and exterior trim using CATIA V5 and contribute to detailed 2D drawings, ensuring design intent is captured in surfaces and assemblies.

Expertise in Class-A surface continuity and tolerance stack-up will be used to translate styling data into production-ready surfaces. You will work on vehicle packaging, architecture and interface with engineering teams to deliver precise

Qualifications

• Expertise in exterior plastic design and CAD modeling of bumpers and exterior trims using CATIA V5.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD surfaces, solids, and mating/assembly structures with CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE.
• Knowledge of Class-A surface continuity (curvature, reflection, tangency) to convert styling data into engineering-ready surfaces.
• Applied understanding of datum schemes, tolerance stack-up, and gap/flush requirements.
• Experience in vehicle packaging and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain best-in-class 3D CAD surfaces and solid models for exterior components.
• Detail 2D drawings and ensure accurate mating/assembly structures using CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE.
• Maintain design intent through Class-A surface continuity and curvature control.
• Apply datum schemes and tolerance stack-up to ensure proper fit and finish.
• Contribute to vehicle packaging and architecture with precise CAD models and drawings.

• Expertise in Exterior plastic design and focused on CAD modeling and detailing of Bumper Fascia, Bumper Grille, and associated exterior trim components using CATIA V5
• Responsible for creating and maintaining best-in-class 3D CAD surface and solid models, mating/assembly structures, and fully detailed 2D drawings using CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE
• Knowledge of Class-A surface continuity (curvature, reflection, tangency) to accurately convert styling math data into engineering-ready surfaces while preserving design intent.
• Applied understanding of datum schemes, tolerance stack-up, and gap/flush requirements
• Experience in vehicle packaging and architecture
