Sightspectrum is seeking an experienced automotive design engineer in Chennai to lead design and development of body interior and exterior trims. Proficiency in CATIA is essential to drive engineering activity from concept through release.

You will apply GD&T and tolerance analysis, DFMEA, and APQP practices, coordinating with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure robust design and successful product launches.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in design and development of automotive Body Interior Trims / Exterior Trims.
• Proficiency in CATIA for design and engineering activities.
• Good understanding of plastic part design and manufacturing processes; Injection molding and tooling development; Painted, chrome-plated, and textured/as-molded plastic components; DFM/DFA principles; GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Experience in component validation, DFMEA, APQP, and product launch activities.
• Knowledge of automotive development processes and engineering release workflows.
