Job summary

ABACUS is seeking a highly motivated NOC Analyst to join our Network Operations Center team in Chennai. You will monitor networks, servers, clouds, and infrastructure health, perform routine checks, and proactively identify issues before they impact operations.

Collaborating with Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, Security, and Service Desk teams, you will generate performance reports and help optimize monitoring thresholds and processes. A 1–3 year background in NOC or IT operations is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a NOC, Infrastructure Operations, Managed Services, or IT Operations environment.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, and switching.
• Experience monitoring Windows and Linux server environments.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, LogicMonitor.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Understanding of cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, ConnectWise, or Jira.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor network, server, cloud, and infrastructure health using monitoring tools.

• Analyze alerts, trends, and recurring incidents to recommend preventive actions.
• Perform initial troubleshooting and coordinate with technical teams for issue resolution.
• Escalate critical incidents and support major outage management activities.
• Monitor service availability and ensure adherence to operational SLAs.
• Generate health, performance, and capacity reports for stakeholders.
• Optimize monitoring thresholds, alerting mechanisms, and operational processes.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, Security, and Service Desk teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation, operational procedures, and incident records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and performance.
