Job summary

Bajaj Auto Limited in India is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for automotive lighting design. The role focuses on styling surfaces, packaging of internal lighting parts, and ensuring functionality, performance, regulatory compliance, and manufacturability.

The candidate will work with UG NX, TeamCenter Engineering, and GD&T practices, contributing to 2W lighting systems and validating lamps and LEDs for global standards.

Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech Mechanical Engg. from reputed University with consistent academics.
• Experience 3–7 years in automotive lighting or related field.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturability and GD&T.

Role:

• Based on styling surfaces and volumes, concept Layout and packaging of internal lighting parts
• Incorporate all aspects of functionality, performance, regulatory requirements and manufacturability

Competency Requirements

Technical

• Expertise in UG NX Version and conversant with ACAD
• Expertise in TeamCenter Engineering
• Expertise in relevant FEA tools like Hyper Mesh, Romax, etc.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, DFM, DFA and DFS aspects
• Expertise in preparing 2D drawings & Knowledge of GD&T
• Good knowledge of and exposure to relevant manufacturing processes inhouse as well as at vendors

• Good knowledge of design concepts for automotive or 2W lighting, including all types of light source like bulb, LED etc.

• Exposure to lamps/ bulbs/ LED manufacturing and validation facilities

Preferred experience

• Experience in working with Automotive or 2-Wheeler lighting system parts.
