Job summary

Symbiosis Management Consultants seeks a skilled Lighting Systems Engineer to design and implement exterior and interior lighting solutions for vehicles. You will benchmark technologies, develop POC/SOR/DVP/TSO, and coordinate with suppliers from concept to SOP to ensure compliance with all functional, quality and regulatory requirements within timelines.

Ideal candidates will have strong optics knowledge, CAD packaging, DFMEA experience and proficiency with Catia V5/6 and SPEOS; excellent

• Experience in lighting optics and vehicle electronics.
• Knowledge in optics, CAD packaging & design, DFMEA and GD&T.
• Proficient with DFMEA, problem solving tools and project management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement Lighting System - Exterior & Interior.
• Benchmarking of lighting technologies.
• POC, SOR, DVP, TSO & development for lighting systems, meeting all standards within project timeline.
• Interact with suppliers from concept to SOP to capture SOR requirements and address build and validation issues.
• Managing and tracking design releases, development, validation and field failures.
• Knowledge in optics and CAE thermal, vibration & condensations.
• Review and release technical specifications and documentation.
• Must demonstrate a high degree of problem solving and DFMEA usage; familiarity with project management tools.

Job description

• Design, develop and implement Lighting System - Exterior & Interior
• Benchmarking of lighting technologies
• POC, SOR, DVP, TSO & development for lighting systems, meeting all functional, quality & regulatory standards / requirements with in project time line.
• Interact with supplier from concept to SOP capturing all SOR requirements & address build & validation issues
• Managing and tracking of design release, development, validation & field failures
• Knowledge in Optics & CAE Thermal, Vibration & Condensations
• Should have additional knowledge in Wiring harness, Electronics
• Review & release technical specifications & other documentations
• Should have detail knowledge in Optics, CAD packaging & design, DFMEA and GD&T
• Must demonstrate a high degree of problem solving ability, especially in the field of expertise. Usage of tools used in DFMEA, problem solving tools and techniques and project management tools ,
• Fluent in use of personal computer programs such as Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, project etc.

• Very Good Vehicle system knowledge in Lighting optics & electronics and other E&E aggregates in the vehicle
• Market research & Industry trend analysis through tools like benchmarking, networking, conferences, papers, etc
• Design thinking through collaboration with internal studio, experts across industries & suppliers for amalgamating the technology into the product
• Expertise in Catia V5 (must), Catia V6 3DX (added advantage) & Optics Simulation Software like SPEOS (optional)
• Knowledge in electronics & LEDs
• Program management skills
• Basic level knowledge in Vehicle electronics
