Job summary

JSW MG Motor India Pvt Ltd in India seeks an experienced Lamp Design & Development engineer to lead LED lamp design, 3D packaging, and 2D drawings while finalizing test requirements and regulatory compliance. You will drive ECN processes, supplier collaboration, and fault resolution to ensure LED lamp quality meets vehicle build standards.

The role supports vehicle builds from mule to saleable, emphasizing EMI-EMC resolution and continuous improvement through supplier audits and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Expertise in automobile LED lamp design and development
• Experience with 3D packaging and 2D drawings
• Ability to finalize test requirements and specifications for lamps
• Knowledge of homologation, regulatory requirements, COP/TAC
• Experience in ECN management and supplier feedback loops
• Root cause analysis and EMI-EMC fault resolution experience
• Audit suppliers to improve quality and processes

Responsibilities

• Lamp design & development in LED lighting for automotive
• Finalize 3D packaging and 2D drawings and related specifications
• Finalize testing requirements for lamps, LED modules, and bulbs
• Ensure compliance with homologation and regulatory requirements
• Manage ECN process and supplier feedback from build to design corrections
• Address EMI-EMC issues and perform root-cause analyses
• Conduct periodic supplier audits to drive quality and process improvements
• Support vehicle builds from mule to saleable to ensure fit and function

Role & responsibilities

Lamp Design & development

• Good knowledge in LED & Bulb Lamp design & development
• SOR preparation & specification finalization
• Lamp manufacturing & tooling knowledge
• 3D packaging requirements finalization
• 2D drawing finalization
• Testing requirement finalization for lamps, LED modules & bulb
• Knowledge of homologation & regulation requirement, COP/TAC
• ECN management.
• Preparing Gap & flushness requirement
• Supplier management by close loop feedback from build to design correction
• Knowledge of different types of LED modules electrical- electronics system
• Support for vehicle build from mule to saleable
• Expertise in Issue resolution, fault finding, root cause analysis, EMI-EMC issues on lamps
• Periodic audits of suppliers to improve the quality and process improvements.
• Additional knowledge of electromechanical components, switches, sensor is preferred.
