Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services seeks a seasoned networking engineer to manage data center fabrics, routing, switching, and VPN gateways in a demanding DC environment.

You will handle Juniper and Cisco devices, EVPN-VXLAN, IPAM tools, and FortiGate firewalls, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. Strong communication is essential for cross‑functional collaboration in a large enterprise.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in data center networking and fabric operations.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across routing, switching and VPN gateways.
• Knowledge of IPAM tools and centralized network asset inventories.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in Juniper Data Center Technologies including EVPN-VXLAN, Spine leaf architecture, BGP, EVPN and Apstra-based Fabric operations and Implementation.
• Technical expert in routing & switching (Cisco & Juniper), VPN gateways, IPAM and wireless infrastructure.
• Understand architecture and inventory of assets hosted in DC & Data Rooms; troubleshoot issues.
• Deploy and troubleshoot data center routers/switches, wireless controllers and FortiGate firewalls.
• Communicate effectively to stakeholders and maintain network reliability.

Role & responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in Juniper Data Center Technologies including EVPN-VXLAN, Spine leaf architecture, BGP, EVPN and Apstra-based Fabric operations and Implementation.
• Technical expert in all aspects of Network devices administration - Routing & Switching (Cisco & Juniper)/ VPN GW (Juniper / Pulse Secure)/VitalQIP / Infoblox IPAM / Wireless access Points.
• Understand and capture Network Services related information including architecture and inventory of assets hosted in DC & Data Rooms.
• Excellent Troubleshooting Skills on Cisco Routing & Switching, Cisco Nexus, Wireless controllers (WLC) and access points (AP).
• Good understanding on Infoblox IPAM Appliances.
• Proficiency in configuration and troubleshooting of routing protocols - OSPF and BGP
• Proficiency in configuration and troubleshooting VPN [any connect vpn, IPS]
• Proficiency in configuration and troubleshooting of wireless - Cisco Wireless Lan controller, Access point & Cisco Prime
• Excellent working knowledge on the data center network, including design and implementation
• Proficiency in deploying new routers/switches and access points
• Good understanding on FortiGate Firewall implementation and Troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills.
