Job summary

NTT DATA in Mumbai seeks an experienced Network Security Engineer L2 to design, implement, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise security infrastructure. You will lead complex incidents and collaborate with Security Operations and Network teams.

Deep hands-on expertise with Palo Alto, Check Point and Cisco ASA is required, along with strong technical leadership to mentor junior engineers and deliver scalable security solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for critical security incidents and escalations.
• Design, implement, and manage security solutions using Palo Alto, Check Point, and Cisco ASA.
• Troubleshoot firewall, VPN, NAT, routing, and connectivity issues.
• Lead firewall migration, consolidation, and upgrades.
• Configure and support High Availability environments.
• Review and optimize firewall policies and rule bases.
• Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, Network, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams.
• Support change management and implement security best practices.
• Analyze security incidents and recommend remediation.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams and SOPs.
• Mentor L1/L2 engineers and provide guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for critical network security incidents and escalations.
• Design, implement, and manage enterprise security solutions using Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA,
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of firewall, VPN, NAT, routing, and connectivity issues.
• Lead firewall migration, consolidation, and upgrade projects.
• Configure and support High Availability (HA) environments.
• Review, optimize, and maintain firewall security policies and rule bases.
• Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and firewall compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, Network, Infrastructure, and Cloud teams on security initiatives.
• Support change management activities and ensure implementation of security best practices.
• Analyze security incidents and recommend remediation measures.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, SOPs, and operational documentation.
• Participate in major incident management and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Mentor L1/L2 engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.
