Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Hyderabad is seeking a network engineer with strong routing and switching knowledge to troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and VRF concepts. Candidates with STP family protocols, high-availability tech, and familiarity with Nexus/VPC/OTV will be favored.

Applicants should have hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper/HP/Aruba devices, firewalls, and load balancers.

Qualifications

• Strong routing and switching concepts with troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with dynamic routing protocols like EIGRP/OSPF/BGP and VRF.
• Knowledge of STP/RSTP/MSTP, HSRP/VRRP/GLBP and DHCP.
• Exposure to Nexus Switching, VPC, OTV is advantageous.
• Hands-on with multi-vendor devices (Cisco/Juniper/HP/Aruba).
• Awareness of wireless tech (Cisco/Aruba) and wireless controllers is a plus.
• CCNA or equivalent networking certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Strong on routing and switching with practical troubleshooting.
• Handle dynamic routing protocols (EIGRP/OSPF/BGP) and VRF.
• Manage STP family protocols and high availability (HSRP/VRRP/GLBP).
• Work with Nexus/VPC/OTV concepts; support upgrades of devices.
• Support firewalls (Cisco/CheckPoint/Palo Alto/Juniper/FortiGate) and load balancers.
• Assist with wireless technologies and controllers; ensure secure access.
• Apply knowledge of NAT, VPNs (S2S/RA), threat prevention, and inspections.

Role & responsibilities

• - Candidate must be Strong on Routing - Switching
• - Strong Concept and troubleshoot abilities of dynamics Routing Protocols like Eigrp, OSPF, BGP , Vrf
• - Strong Concept and troubleshoot abilities on , STP, RSTP, MSTP, HSRP , VRRP , GLBP, DHCP
• - Knowledge in Nexus Switching VPC , VDC , OTV will be added advantages
• - Hands on experience on Cisco , Juniper , HP, Aruba ( Any one or Multiple) routers and Switches
• - Knowledge on Upgrade and replacement of Routers and Switches on respective technologies.

• - Must be flexible in Shifts
• - Candidate should have hands on experience in any one or multiple Firewall ( Cisco / CheckPoint/ PaloAlto/Juniper/Fortigate or others )
• - Candidate should have hands on experience in F5/ Citrix Netscaler or Other Load Balancer
• - Strong Concept and troubleshoot abilities on Access Rule , NAT , Various VPN Concept ( S2S, RA etc) , Threat Prevention , IPS and Inspections ,F/w HA etc
• - Strong Concept and troubleshoot abilities on Pool, SNAT, Various Load Balancing algorithm and its used cases , SSL Offloading etc
• - Knowledge on Upgrade and replacement of F/w and LoadBalancers on respective technologies
• - HandsOn Network Proxy device like (BlueCoat /Mcafee/ Umbrella ) will be an added advantage
• - CCNA/CCSA/PCSNA and relevant or Higher N/w certification is desirable
