Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Hyderabad seeks an experienced network professional with hands-on firewall, routing and switching expertise. The candidate should troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols (EIGRP/OSPF/BGP/VRF) and manage VLANs, STP variants, HSRP/VRRP/GLBP, DHCP.

Nexus skills (VPC, VDC, OTV) are a plus, with multi-vendor router/switch experience. CCNA or higher networking certification is desirable, and candidate flexibility for shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with one or more firewall platforms (Cisco/Check Point/FortiGate or others).
• Strong routing and switching knowledge with hands-on troubleshooting.
• Proficient in dynamic routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VRF.
• Understanding of VLANs, STP/RSTP/MSTP, HSRP/VRRP/GLBP, DHCP.
• Nexus Switching knowledge: VPC, VDC, OTV is a plus.
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper/HP/Aruba routers and switches.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with firewall technologies (Cisco/Check Point/FortiGate).
• Troubleshoot routing and switching to maintain network reliability.
• Apply expertise to dynamic routing protocols (EIGRP/OSPF/BGP/VRF).
• Support VLANs, STP variants, and gateway redundancy protocols.
• Leverage Nexus features (VPC/VDC/OTV) when available.
• Assist with upgrades/replacements of routers and switches across vendors.
• Evaluate wireless tech basics and controller/ AP concepts when needed.
• Maintain flexibility for shift patterns and certifications like CCNA or higher.

• -Candidate must be Strong on Routing Switching
• - Strong Concept and troubleshoot abilities of dynamics Routing Protocols like Eigrp, OSPF, BGP, Vrf
• - Strong Concept and troubleshoot abilities on, STP, RSTP, MSTP, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, DHCP
• - Knowledge in Nexus Switching VPC, VDC, OTV will be added advantages
• - Hands on experience on Cisco, Juniper, HP, Aruba ( Any one or Multiple) routers and Switches
• - Knowledge on Upgrade and replacement of Routers and Switches on respective technologies.
• - Knowledge on Wireless technology (Cisco/Aruba), and Concept on Wireless Controller, Access points will be added advantage
• - CCNA and relevant or Higher N/w certification is desirable
• - Must be flexible in Shifts

Preferred candidate profile

• - Candidate should have hands on experience in F5/ Citrix NetScaler or Other Load Balancer
• - Strong Concept and troubleshoot abilities on Access Rule, NAT, Various VPN Concept (S2S, RA etc.) , Threat Prevention, IPS and Inspections, F/w HA etc.
• - Strong Concept and troubleshoot abilities on Pool, SNAT, Various Load Balancing algorithm and its used cases, SSL Offloading etc.
• - Knowledge on Upgrade and replacement of F/w and LoadBalancers on respective technologies
• - HandsOn Network Proxy device like (Bluecoat /McAfee/ Umbrella) will be an added advantage
• - CCNA/CCSA/PCSNA and relevant or Higher N/w certification is desirable
• - Must be flexible in Shifts
