Job summary

ESDS Software Solution Limited in Nashik is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design and implement datacenter networking, ensure high availability, and support continuous service delivery through effective monitoring and fault resolution.

The role requires 24x7 shift rotation, collaboration with vendors, and hands-on work with BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, and EVPN across multi-datacenter environments to meet SLAs and security standards.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech or MCA+ from a recognized university.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in networking and security.
• Datacenter/cloud networking knowledge and experience as L2 engineer preferable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability of network and service infrastructure.
• Work in 24x7 rotational shifts as assigned.
• Design and implement new network solutions; improve current networks.
• Install, configure and support routers, switches, DNS/DHCP, proxies, etc.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise network performance; handle RCAs.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, OEMs and service providers.
• Plan upgrades and communicate network status to management.
• Adhere to ITIL concepts and incident SLA management.

Job description

Ensures high availability of the network and service infrastructure for customers via timely closure of customer tickets and ensuring high uptime of Datacenter network infrastructure via effective monitoring and management of the same.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work in 24x7 rotational shifts as assigned in shift roaster.
• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
• Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, DHCP etc.
• Managing subcontractors, OEMS and Service providers to ensure correct deployment and support for high uptimes.
• Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security
• Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
• Planning for and executing Arranging scheduled upgrades
• Investigating faults in the network and working on RCAs
• Keep upper management informed about what is happening in the organization concerning networking.
• Responsible for informing Management, partners and peers about network performance and service availability.
• Provide support to L1 Teams in ensuring all tickets are closed within defined SLAs
• Should plan long term goal for network improvements
• Should understand latest technology in market/competitors and plan, implement in ESDS whenever require
• Network design and implementation
• Knowledge of networking protocol like BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, NvGRE, MPLS VRF, EVPN, and L2 protocols.
• Knowledge of multi datacenter networking architecture.
• Knowledge of virtual switches and virtual routers in systems.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team

Qualification:

• B.E./ B. Tech in Computer/Electronic/IT or M.C.A or higher from a recognized university
• 3 + years of relevant experience
• Good knowledge & experience in Network & Network Security in Datacenter/cloud environment.
• Datacenter/cloud networking Knowledge and experience as L2 engineer preferable
• Deep understanding of networking protocol like BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, NvGRE, MPLS VRF, EVPN, and L2 protocols etc.
• Knowledge of multi datacenter networking architecture.
• Knowledge and deployment and operational experience of virtual switches, Virtual Firewalls and virtual routers in systems.

Qualification:

• B.E./ B. Tech in Computer/Electronic/IT or M.C.A or higher from a recognized university
• 3 + years of relevant experience
• Good knowledge & experience in Network & Network Security in Datacenter/cloud environment.
• Team working skills and ability to work with various teams, team members and clients.
• Networking and Network security related certifications is desirable

• Up to date and relevant ITIL certification
• VMware Certified Professional / Advance Professional MCSA / MCSE / MCITP
• RHCE or equivalent
• Citrix XenServer Certified (CC-XenServer)
• Amazon Certified Professional
