Job summary

Abacus Consultants in Navi Mumbai seeks an experienced network engineer to design, deploy, and optimize complex enterprise networks, handling routing protocols and inter-VLAN routing with a focus on reliable performance.

The role requires hands-on skills in firewall management, VPN gateways, IPS/IDS, ACLs, and high-availability setups (HSRP/VRRP/GLBP). Strong monitoring with SolarWinds/PRTG/Nagios and solid documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience configuring and managing OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and other routing protocols in complex networks.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 3 switching, VLANs, and inter-VLAN routing.
• Experience with firewall management, VPN gateways, IPS/IDS systems, and ACLs.
• Familiarity with high-availability solutions such as HSRP, VRRP, and GLBP.
• Expertise in performance monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios) and traffic analysis.
• In-depth understanding of QoS policies for voice, video, and mission-critical applications.
• Experience with disaster recovery, backup solutions, and network synchronization.
• Familiarity with ITIL, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and security audit processes.
• Ability to work independently and lead complex troubleshooting efforts.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
