The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience with Layer 2/3 networking, routing protocols, and strong security fundamentals, with Cisco and Juniper equipment proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with in-depth knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper devices.
• Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching technologies.
• Strong understanding of network security principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot complex network environments, including routing and switching infrastructure.
• Design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Configure, deploy, and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Handle escalated incidents and provide Level 3 support for network-related issues.
• Maintain and optimize network performance through regular audits, monitoring, and fine-tuning.
• Implement and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS).
• Manage VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, and other switching configurations.
• Work on WAN optimization, QoS configurations, and traffic shaping.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network integration and upgrades.
• Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guidelines.
