Module Lead - Vehicle Integration Interior and Ergonomics
- You will shape the full vehicle design of future BMW vehicles by integrating different aspects of packaging Interior and integration with optimized solutions.
- You’ll collaborate with world-class designers and engineers across continents, learning from experts at the Munich Design Studio and within BMWTechWorks.
- This role offers a clear path for professional advancement in automotive design and digital product engineering while contributing to iconic mobility solutions.
- Join BMWTechWorks India in the Digital Product Engineering cluster, Unit CAD, focusing on vehicle integration for overall vehicle design.
- Collaborate daily with the design and development team, along with styling partners at the Munich Design Studio.
- Be part of a cross-functional team that values craftsmanship, innovation, and rigorous surface development across the complete vehicle design process.
- Work in a fast-paced, international environment that fosters continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
What should you bring along
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard tools such as CATIA, along with and PLM systems (Teamcenter) for data and lifecycle management.
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with design and styling partners
- Very good English language skills (German language is an advantage).
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in industrial design, Transportation Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Min 8+ years of experience in automotive full vehicle design and interior packaging development.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle ergonomics, occupant packaging, and interior layout development.
- Ability to collaborate with design, styling, and engineering stakeholders.
- Proactive, team-oriented approach with experience working in a matrix environment.
Must have technical skill
- Experienced engineer with overall vehicle development knowledge and involvement in at least two complete vehicle programs with interior packaging.
- Strong expertise in Interior Packaging, Vehicle Integration, DMU, and Ergonomics, supported by basic CAD and PLM tool knowledge.
- Capable of driving cross-functional coordination, stakeholder management, and technical issue resolution in a fast-paced automotive development environment.
Good to have Technical skills
- Value analysis and Value Engineering
- Experience working with BMW design studios or automotive styling teams, preferably in international collaborations.
- Knowledge of digitization workflows, data exchange formats, and version control in a design/engineering context.
