Job summary

Happiest Minds Technologies seeks a Linux/DevOps professional to maintain and develop 24x7 Linux infrastructure. You will manage servers, perform upgrades, and provide L1–L3 support, including automation tasks using Ansible and Bash. The role involves on-call weekend coverage, DR/BCP participation, and VM management in AWS and ESXi.

You will collaborate across teams to improve stability, security, and scalability, while building new physical and virtual servers and performing capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Proactively maintain and develop Linux infrastructure for 24x7 service.
• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers incl. upgrades and configs.
• Provide L1/L2/L3 server support.
• Create/modify scripts or apps to automate tasks (Ansible, Bash).
• Improve stability, security, efficiency and scalability of the environment.
• Collaborate to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
• Weekend support and on-call coverage.
• Disaster Recovery and BCP drills participation.
• Manage physical servers via remote access.
• Manage and maintain VMs in ESXi farm and AWS.
• Build new physical and virtual servers as per standards.
• Fault finding, logging for performance reports.
• Proactive system performance monitoring and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of servers with cluster software and databases.

Job description

Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7 service.

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers, including server upgrades, configurations, and maintenance tasks.
• Provide L1,L2,L3 level server support similar to current team.

• Proficient in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) versions 6,7,and 8. Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers

• Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks(Ansible, Bash)
• Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
• Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes

• Provide weekend support on scheduled weekend changes
• Provide on-call support during off hours and night shift coverage
• Participate in Disaster Recovery and BCP drills
• Manage Physical server infrastructure using remote access
• Manage and maintain virtual machines in internal ESX farm as well as in AWS
• Build new physical and virtual servers as per standards
• Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
• Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
