Job summary

Hinduja Tech in Pune is seeking a Model-Based Development Engineer specialized in Automotive Battery Management Systems (BMS) to design, develop, and validate control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink and Model-Based Design.

The role focuses on battery monitoring, estimation, protection, and balancing functions aligned with automotive standards and functional safety requirements. 4–6 years of relevant experience preferred, with strong model verification and integration skills.

Qualifications

• BTech Electronics/Electrical Engineering with embedded controls development focus.
• 4 to 6 years industry experience or equivalent academic experience in development of automotive controls software.
• Experience of model-based development using MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow and autocode generation using embedded coder and its optimization.
• MATLAB model verification using MIL, SIL using Simulink test manager, Coverage using Simulink design verifier.
• Well versed with MAB Guidelines for Model based development.
• Functional Testing and Debugging of models and code.
• Code Integration (application and BSW), exposure to different IDE, compilers and debuggers.
• Experience in model development for BMS Automotive.
• Know-how of Automotive BMS architecture and experience with SOC, SOH, SOP algorithms.
• Develop software in compliance with ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink and Model-Based Design methodologies.
• Develop battery monitoring, estimation, protection, and balancing functions compliant with automotive standards and functional safety requirements.
• Collaborate to integrate software with ECUs and perform verification activities across MIL/SIL.
