Details of the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled BMS Design & Development Engineer to lead the technical definition, requirement engineering, and supplier execution for our next-generation Battery Management Systems. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our internal vehicle-level targets and external Tier-1 suppliers for BMS development.

You will be responsible for defining the technical requirements, evaluating supplier designs, and ensuring the final delivered BMS firmware and hardware meet strict safety, performance, and timing milestones.

Technical Requirements:

• Responsible for the preparation of Battery and BMS RFQ for all EV and Hybrid Platform.

• Evaluate Analog Front End (AFE) architectures, signal conditioning circuits, communication interfaces, and power management designs.

• Own the electrical and electronic architecture of the Battery Management System (BMS), including Master BMS, Slave BMS, sensing systems, and HV control circuits.

• Define and review battery electronics architecture, including cell voltage sensing, current sensing, temperature sensing, isolation monitoring, HVIL, pre-charge, contactor control, and power supply circuits.

• Review supplier schematics, PCB layouts, component selection, and electrical designs to ensure compliance with OEM design standards and functional requirements.

• Develop and review CAN communication architecture, CAN Matrix, UDS diagnostics, and interface definitions between Battery Pack, VCU, Charger, and other vehicle controllers.

• Support EMC/EMI design reviews and ensure compliance with automotive electrical standards.

• Define algorithmic requirements for core BMS functions: State of Charge (SOC), State of Health (SOH), State of Power (SOP), and Cell Balancing.

• Specify fault diagnostics and fail-safe strategy boundaries (Over-voltage, Under-voltage, Over-temperature, Over-current).

• Define network communication matrixes (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, or Automotive Ethernet) for vehicle-to-BMS interactions.DBC Development w.r.t CAN Matrix
