Job summary

Purplle.com Mumbai-based role seeking a detail-oriented Logistics MIS Analyst with advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills. The candidate will manage dispatch, delivery, POD, TAT and OTIF data, generate dashboards, and monitor KPIs across multiple logistics partners.

Responsibilities include freight cost analysis, data consolidation, and transporter performance reporting, with automation of routine MIS tasks to improve data accuracy and reporting speed.

Qualifications

• High proficiency in Advanced Excel and Google Sheets for MIS reporting.
• Experience in logistics data like dispatch, POD, TAT, OTIF, RTO is preferred.
• Ability to automate repetitive MIS tasks using formulas, dashboards and scripts.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with attention to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly logistics MIS reports.
• Maintain shipment databases including dispatch, delivery, POD, RTO and pending shipments.
• Generate city-, customer-, transporter- and warehouse-wise performance reports.
• Track shipments and identify delays; highlight exceptions to operations.
• Develop dashboards and operational scorecards to monitor KPIs.
• Perform freight cost analysis and reconcile invoices.
• Consolidate data from multiple logistics partners and support transporter reviews.
• Automate MIS activities using Excel, Pivot Tables, Power Query, Sheets and basic scripting.

Job Description:

The role requires strong Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills, data accuracy, reporting discipline, and an understanding of logistics operations such as dispatch, delivery, POD, TAT, OTIF, RTO.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly logistics MIS reports.
• Maintain shipment-level databases covering dispatch, delivery, POD, RTO and pending shipments.
• Generate city-wise, customer-wise, transporter-wise and warehouse-wise performance reports.
• Track shipment status and identify delayed/pending deliveries.
• Prepare management dashboards and operational scorecards.
• Monitor Key KPIs Such As:
  • OTIF – On Time In Full
  • Delivery TAT
  • Pending/Undelivered shipments
  • RTO update
  • POD compliance
  • Transporter SLA performance
• Highlight exceptions and coordinate with operations teams for closure.
• Freight & Cost Analysis:
  • Prepare transporter billing and freight reconciliation.
  • Validate freight invoices against agreed rates, shipment weight, distance and service type.
  • Identify billing discrepancies, excess freight, weight discrepancies and cost leakages.
  • Prepare cost-per-kg, cost-per-box, cost-per-order and freight-to-sales analysis.
• Data Management:
  • Maintain Accurate Master Data For Pincode, Customer, Transporter, Rate cards, TAT, Vehicle, Route.
• Consolidate data received from multiple logistics partners.
• Transporter Coordination:
  • Collect daily/weekly performance data from logistics partners.
  • Follow up for pending PODs, delivery status, RTO cases and exception shipments.
  • Prepare transporter performance scorecards.
  • Support monthly transporter review meetings.
• Automation & Process Improvement:
  • Automate repetitive MIS activities using Excel formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query, Google Sheets and basic VBA/Apps Script.
  • Develop dashboards to reduce manual reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data accuracy and reporting TAT.
