Job summary

techcarrot is seeking a skilled backend developer to design and implement scalable microservices using Node.js and TypeScript on Azure. You will design, build, and maintain robust microservices, and contribute to API-first solutions using OpenAPI specifications.

The role involves deploying containerized apps on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), publishing and securing APIs with Azure API Management, and integrating backend services with internal and external systems.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript for backend development.
• Experience designing and building microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services, especially AKS, API Management, and Key Vault.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes concepts.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of API security best practices and OWASP guideline
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-6 years of hands-on backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience building and operating microservices and REST APIs in production.
• Practical exposure to Azure, AKS, and Azure API Management.
• Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes basics, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently on features and contribute to design discussions.
