Your Role

As a Micro Focus Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and modernizing enterprise applications built on Micro Focus technologies. You will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions, support critical business applications, and contribute to modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Micro Focus COBOL and related technologies.
• Analyze business requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues to ensure application stability.
• Support application modernization, system integration, and migration initiatives.
• Develop and maintain batch and online processing programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployments, and release activities.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.

Your Profile

• 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in Micro Focus COBOL development and support.
• Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and batch processing concepts.
• Experience with Micro Focus Enterprise Developer and Enterprise Server.
• Good understanding of relational databases such as DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Experience in application maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies, version control systems, and release management processes.
• Exposure to application modernization and integration projects is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and Agile delivery methodologies is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
