We are seeking a Vertex Programmer Dev with hands-on experience in Mainframes Microfocus COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM.

Location: All Persistent Location

Experience: 7 to 10 Years

Job Description

What You'll Do:

• 6-8 years of experience in COBOL development using Microfocus Net Express 5.1
• Experience of working on COBOL, CICS, JCL and VSAM in IBM MVS environment
• Experience in CICS environments, CICS tables and using BMS
• Experience in z/OS connect and consuming rest APIs from COBOL
• Exposure or knowledge in other technologies such as VB.Net, Python automation using Selenium. Or should be ready to learn it quickly
• Experience in handling the JSON format file
• Hands on experience with JIRA, Confluence and GitHub
• Experience on Fujitsu NetCOBOL is good to have
• Should have strong analytical and design skills
• Should be eager to dig into the product/application and gain functional knowledge
• Eagerness to learn new concepts and implement them proactively
• Should have worked in agile projects and should have a good understanding of the scrum and SAFe frameworks etc.
• Guide team members technically and functionally
• Prepare test cases, execute the same and prepare test plan
• Reviewing and testing the software and highlight problem areas
• Identifying quality issues and creating test reports
• Should be able to suggest best technical approach for a given requirement
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
