Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Analyze past purchase data and spend volumes to identify commodities.
• Receive, scrutinize forms for item code creation and update Oracle item master.
• Scrutinize Vendor Prequalification forms and create Vendor Codes in Oracle Vendor Master.
• Maintain data records for vendor management and performance review.
• Support cost savings goals with analytical data and documentation.
• Coordinate with IT on updates in Oracle Masters and act as focal point for IT issues.
• Provide analytics for item/vendor/risk classification and process flow.
• Coordinate with IT to develop new forms/reports for supply chain management.
• Prepare MIS reports on Supply Chain for management review.
• Develop and send reports reflecting performance and status to operations.
• Undertake additional SCM tasks as directed by management.

The position is responsible to carry out various supply chain related data analytics based on the Oracle database. The position supports the process by analysis of data pertaining to supply chain management system to improve the overall efficiency in the process flow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze past purchase data, spend volumes, etc. to help in identifying commodities required to be taken up under commodity agreements, in coordination with relevant team.
• Receive, scrutinize filled forms for item code creation and create new items in Oracle item master as per set procedure.
• Carry out scrutiny of Vendor Prequalification forms as per set procedure and create Vendor Codes in Oracle Vendor Master.
• Maintain data records required for effective vendor management and vendor performance review in line with set procedures.
• Support management goals for Cost Savings by providing analytical data with supporting necessary documentation and reporting.
• Co-ordinate with IT team on updates & corrections required in Oracle Masters. Be the focal point in Supply Chain for all IT system related issues.
• Provide analytical support required for classification of items, vendors, risk categories, development of effective process flow.
• Co-ordinate with IT team in developing and monitoring the development of new Forms and Reports required for the effective supply chain management.
• Prepare the MIS reports on Supply Chain function for management review on a periodic basis.
• Develop and send reports to operations to reflect the performance and status periodically.
• Undertake additional tasks and/or activities related to Supply Chain Management at the direction of line or corporate management.

Principal Challenges:

• The company has a diverse range of Engineering activities namely – Welding & Fabrication, Machine Shop , Agency representation, Manufacture/Repair & Refurbishment of various products, Drilling Equipment, Tool rentals, Boat Manufacturing and repairs. This increases the complexity of the risk management requirements and demands a high level of awareness and application of the subject.
• He is the custodian of all financial data and is required to think strategically and get involved in all financial matters.

Minimum Academic / Professional Qualification:

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mech Engg.

Minimum Work Experience :

• Must have at least 4 years post qualification experience,
• Prior Experience Manufacturing Industry would be preferred.
