Job summary

Fynd in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Merchandising Manager to drive growth by onboarding Indian retailers and expanding existing partnerships. You will own end-to-end revenue from prospecting to account expansion, leveraging deep merchandising and retail knowledge, and strong sales acumen.

The role requires 10–14 years in merchandising or retail sales, proficiency in CRM and Excel, and a willingness to travel.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Merchandising Manager to drive business growth from Indian retailers. This is a sales-and-relationship-driven role — you will be responsible for identifying and onboarding new retail partners, as well as managing and growing existing retailer accounts. The ideal candidate brings deep merchandising and retail-industry knowledge combined with strong sales acumen, and is comfortable owning revenue targets end-to-end — from prospecting to long-term account growth.

What You’ll Do

New Business Acquisition

• Identify, prospect, and onboard new Indian retailers/retail chains as business partners.
• Build a strong pipeline of prospective retailers through market mapping, networking, and industry connects.
• Pitch Fynd's offerings to retailer decision-makers (owners, category heads, merchandising/buying teams) and close new business.
• Negotiate commercial terms, margins, and partnership agreements in line with company guidelines.

Key Account Management

• Own and grow relationships with existing retailer accounts, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Track account performance (sales, inventory turns, category growth) and identify opportunities to expand business share.
• Work closely with retailers on merchandising planning — assortment, pricing, stock replenishment, and promotional calendars.
• Resolve escalations and ensure high retailer satisfaction to drive long-term retention.

Merchandising & Market Intelligence

• Stay current on retail and merchandising trends, competitor activity, and category performance across regions.
• Provide market feedback and retailer insights to internal category, product, and pricing teams.
• Support planning of seasonal/promotional strategies with retail partners to maximize sell-through.

Reporting & Coordination

• Maintain accurate records of pipeline, account status, and revenue performance in CRM/reporting tools.
• Coordinate with internal teams (operations, supply chain, finance) to ensure smooth onboarding and servicing of retail accounts.
• Report regularly on business acquisition, account health, and target achievement to leadership.

Some Specific Requirements

• 10-14 years of experience in merchandising, retail sales, or business development, with a strong track record of working with Indian retailers/retail chains.
• Proven experience in both new business acquisition and account management/relationship growth.
• Strong understanding of retail merchandising practices — assortment planning, category management, pricing, and inventory dynamics.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to travel as required to meet retail partners and manage regional business.
• Proficiency with CRM tools and MS Office/Excel for reporting and pipeline tracking.

Good to Have

• Existing network/relationships with Indian retail chains or regional retailers.
• Experience in retail-tech, omnichannel platforms, or B2B retail partnerships.
• Exposure to category-specific merchandising (fashion, FMCG, electronics, etc., as relevant).
