Job summary

MDP Infra (India) Private Limited is seeking an experienced professional for A.MEP Planning & Execution across refinery and building projects. You will plan and supervise day-to-day MEP activities, review drawings and specs, and ensure execution per approved plans.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and supervise day-to-day MEP activities at the project site.
  • Review approved MEP drawings, specifications, BOQ and method statements.
  • Ensure execution is in accordance with approved drawings and project specifications.
  • Coordinate MEP activities with civil, structural, architectural, piping and process works.
  • Prepare daily/weekly work plans and monitor progress against the project schedule.
  • Identify site constraints, interface issues and construction bottlenecks and resolve them in coordination with the concerned departments.
  • Supervise installation of LT/HT electrical systems, cable trays, conduits and cabling.
  • Coordinate installation of electrical panels, DBs, MCCs, transformers and related equipment.
  • Monitor earthing and lightning protection systems.
  • Coordinate cable laying, termination, testing and commissioning.
  • Ensure electrical works are executed as per approved drawings and applicable standards.
  • Coordinate with E&I teams wherever electrical and instrumentation works have interfaces.
  • Supervise installation of mechanical equipment and associated MEP services.
  • Coordinate HVAC, ventilation, pumps and utility systems, wherever included in project scope.
  • Monitor installation of mechanical piping/services associated with buildings and infrastructure.
  • Ensure equipment installation is carried out as per approved drawings and manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Coordinate equipment testing, alignment and commissioning activities.
  • Supervise water supply, drainage, sewage and plumbing installations.
  • Monitor installation of fire-fighting piping, hydrants, sprinkler systems and associated equipment, as applicable.
  • Coordinate fire-water systems with civil and structural works.
  • Ensure pressure testing, flushing and commissioning are completed as per approved procedures.
  • Coordinate MEP works with refinery process areas, utility areas, buildings, substations, control rooms, workshops and other project facilities.
  • Ensure MEP installations do not conflict with process piping, structural steel, civil foundations or equipment layouts.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
  • Review MEP interfaces with underground utilities, trenches, sleeves, embedded items and foundations.
  • Ensure proper coordination of MEP requirements before concrete casting and structural closures.
  • Review IFC drawings and identify discrepancies before execution.
  • Coordinate with Engineering/Design teams for RFIs, technical clarifications and drawing revisions.
  • Review shop drawings and MEP coordination drawings.
  • Ensure latest approved drawings are available at the work front.
  • Monitor as-built drawings and ensure site changes are properly recorded.
  • Review and coordinate with the team on drawing discrepancies and revision control.
  • Verify quantities executed at site.
  • Check contractor/subcontractor measurements and prepare measurement sheets.
  • Assist in preparation and verification of RA bills.
  • Monitor material consumption against BOQ.
  • Identify material wastage and control unnecessary consumption.
  • Support procurement teams in preparing material requirements and forecasts.
  • Monitor variation works and maintain proper records.
  • Ensure MEP works comply with approved specifications, ITPs, method statements and quality standards.
  • Coordinate inspections with QA/QC teams.
  • Ensure proper testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
  • Raise and close inspection requests and NCR-related observations.
  • Maintain quality records, test reports and commissioning documents.
  • Ensure all MEP activities are executed in compliance with project HSE requirements.
  • Ensure workers follow PPE, permit-to-work and safe-work procedures.
  • Coordinate with Safety Department for hot work, work-at-height, electrical isolation and other applicable permits.

Role & responsibilities

A.MEP Planning & Execution

B. Electrical Works

Supervise installation of LT/HT electrical systems, cable trays, conduits and cabling.

Coordinate cable laying, termination, testing and commissioning.

Ensure electrical works are executed as per approved drawings and applicable standards.

Coordinate with E&I teams wherever electrical and instrumentation works have interfaces.

C. Mechanical Works

Supervise installation of mechanical equipment and associated MEP services.

Coordinate HVAC, ventilation, pumps and utility systems, wherever included in project scope.

Monitor installation of mechanical piping/services associated with buildings and infrastructure.

Ensure equipment installation is carried out as per approved drawings and manufacturer's recommendations.

D. Plumbing & Fire Fighting

Monitor material consumption against BOQ.

Identify material wastage and control unnecessary consumption.

Support procurement teams in preparing material requirements and forecasts.

Monitor variation works and maintain proper records.

H. Quality Control

Ensure MEP works comply with approved specifications, ITPs, method statements and quality standards.
