Job description

Position Overview

The MEP Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Fighting works for large scale Residential/Commercial /Township projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, coordination skills, site execution knowledge and the ability to drive cross functional teams to ensure timely and quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Coordination

• Lead end to end coordination of all MEP services for Residential/Commercial/Township projects.
• Review GFC drawings, BOQ, technical specifications, and highlight discrepancies for resolution.
• Prepare MEP coordination schedules aligned with overall project timelines.

2. Site Execution Management

• Monitor installation activities for HVAC, Ventilation System, Electrical (HT/LT), ELV, Fire Fighting, Plumbing and related systems.
• Ensure proper sequencing and avoid conflicts among various MEP services.
• Resolve technical issues on‑site and provide engineering solutions.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, safety and adherence to specifications.

3. Vendor & Contractor Management

• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely material delivery and installation.
• Review method statements, shop drawings and work procedures of MEP.

4. Quality, Safety and Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to MEP quality standards and safety norms as per NBC 2016.
• Validate installation against reference standards and approved drawings.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare Weekly/Monthly MEP progress reports.
• Track material consumption, manpower deployment and productivity.
• Maintain proper documentation for approvals, inspections and commissioning activities.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)

8-10 Years of experience required for Bachelor's degree holders and 10-15 Years of experience is required for Diploma holders.

Strong capability in handling MEP services layout coordination through AutoCAD, resolving site constraints and ensuring compliance with project specifications and statutory norms. Adept in monitoring project progress, preparing technical reports, handling inspections and ensuring strict adherence to SEB standards.
