Job summary

Elite Foods in Thrissur is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to manage and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing works on our construction sites. You will ensure installations follow approved drawings, specs and schedules, and you will supervise MEP activities across contractors and teams.

The role requires strong coordination, drawing interpretation, and knowledge of AutoCAD and MEP practices. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for timely project

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering field.
• Experience in MEP works on residential, commercial or high-rise projects.
• Knowledge of MEP drawings, specs and construction practices.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and fire-fighting services is advantageous.
• Ability to coordinate with contractors, consultants and project teams.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MEP software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all MEP works at the project site.
• Review MEP drawings, layouts, specs and technical documents.
• Coordinate MEP works with civil, architectural and structural teams to avoid clashes.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors for proper execution.
• Ensure works follow approved drawings, specs and standards.
• Check material quality and workmanship for MEP installations.
• Coordinate material requirements, inspections and approvals with purchasing and project teams.
• Monitor progress and complete MEP activities within schedule.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues and clashes.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning and handover of MEP systems.
• Prepare site reports, inspection records and measurements.
• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, contractors and stakeholders.
• Ensure safety procedures and company standards on site.
• Identify and resolve MEP installation issues.
• Verify quantities for billing and certification.
• Assist in preparing BOQs, estimates and material requirements.
• Maintain as-built drawings and MEP documentation.
• Participate in site meetings and provide MEP progress updates.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible MEP Engineer to manage and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) works at our construction project sites. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all MEP installations are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) works at the project site.
• Review and interpret MEP drawings, layouts, specifications and technical documents.
• Coordinate MEP works with civil, architectural and structural teams to avoid clashes and delays.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure proper execution of MEP works.
• Ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications and applicable standards.
• Check the quality of materials and workmanship used for MEP installations.
• Coordinate material requirements, inspections and approvals with the purchase and project teams.
• Monitor project progress and ensure MEP activities are completed within the scheduled timeline.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify technical issues, discrepancies and clashes.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning and handover of MEP systems.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience in MEP works in residential, commercial or high-rise building projects.
• Good knowledge of MEP drawings, specifications and construction practices.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-fighting and other building services will be an advantage.
• Ability to coordinate with contractors, consultants and project teams.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant MEP software is preferred.
