Job summary

Merlin Group in Pune is seeking an experienced MEP Manager to oversee planning, coordination, execution and delivery of MEP works for residential, commercial and mixed-use projects.

The ideal candidate has 12–15 years in real estate/construction, strong leadership, and hands-on knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, NBC and IS codes. Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Project is preferred. This role demands ensuring quality, safety, cost control and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 12–15 years of MEP management experience in real estate/construction.
• Experience in residential, commercial, township, or mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, ELV, and building services.
• Knowledge of NBC, IS Codes, fire safety regulations, and local statutory requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and supervise all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities across multiple real estate projects.
• Review MEP designs, drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications for compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless execution of MEP works.
• Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of MEP activities within budget.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality of work, adherence to specifications, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Resolve technical issues related to MEP systems during construction and commissioning.
• Review contractor bills, change orders, material approvals, and vendor performance.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, building codes, fire and safety regulations, and project quality standards.
• Participate in project planning, risk assessment, value engineering, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Manage testing, commissioning, handover, and documentation of all MEP systems.
• Prepare periodic progress reports and update management on project status.
