Job summary

Capstone Technologies is hiring a skilled MEP Draftsman to prepare detailed drawings for diverse projects in Kochi and Madurai. You will develop HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Electrical layouts, create shop and coordinated drawings, and ensure alignment with architectural and structural plans.

The role requires strong AutoCAD experience, familiarity with Revit MEP, and the ability to read complex drawings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an MEP Draftsman / MEP Draughtsman.
• Strong hands-on experience in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Electrical services.
• Experience in MEP coordination and shop drawing preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings, layouts, sections, and detailing.
• Experience working on commercial / residential / infrastructure / international projects is preferred.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP drawings for commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
• Develop and modify HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Electrical layouts based on design requirements.
• Prepare shop drawings, coordinated drawings, schematic drawings, sections, and detailed layouts.
• Work closely with MEP Design Engineers, BIM Modelers, Architects, and project teams to ensure accurate drawings.
• Coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural drawings and identify clashes/interferences.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.
• Incorporate design revisions and maintain updated drawing sets throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare drawings using AutoCAD and preferably Revit MEP.
• Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, annotations, elevations, and service routing.
• Support the engineering team with BOQ, quantity take-offs, material schedules, and other drafting-related requirements when required.
• Participate in drawing coordination and resolve technical drafting issues with the design team.
